The adult, pediatric, and gestational (a condition where a pregnant woman’s glucose level is increased and she has other diabetic symptoms even though she’s never had diabetes before. This type of diabetes usually disappears after delivery) diabetes programs at SCRMC are certified and designed to meet the specific needs of people with Type 1, Type 2 or gestational diabetes.

The medical center also offers a Diabetic Education and Support Group from April through November on the third Thursday for the month from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. These free, on-going meetings can help people with diabetes and their support persons stay up to date on diabetes treatment and control, as well as to share experiences and concerns with others.
Diabetes Night Out is held each year in November for those with diabetes and their family members or caregivers. The program features information specific to the disease and includes health screenings along with informational sessions. In addition, there will be refreshments and displays on important information to managing the disease.
